Zmapping produce some of the best-value sophisticated digital 3D models on the market. Our models are made to unquestionable accuracy and detail. Models can in essence be made for any part of a country, anywhere in the world, regardless of size.
Derived using photogrammetry, our models are accurate in that geographic mechanisms have been used to derive height and other co-ordinates. Our models do not rest on best guesses or estimates. Geographic co-ordinates can be read off our models, and they match Ordnance Survey (OS) landline maps without any noticeable differences.
From this it follows that our models are true to landscape and terrain levels. So your model will not be made flat. Your Zmapping model is intended as a replica of your surroundings. The models can furthermore be rendered and ‘dressed’ to suit your requirements.

Furthermore, our models can be used in conjunction with other specialist software for various scientific research, or the measurements read off our models and used for other purposes. We can also optimise your 3D model for
rapid prototyping - the process of printing out a physical model from a digital CAD file. Our models also provide the ideal visual interface for presenting 3D GIS information which is in some shape or form related to the built environment.
It is even possible to release a model, or part of it, over the Internet as an interactive file.
